The Las Ventas Arena was built in 1929 on the land called Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo, after which it was named. It is the largest arena in Spain, with a total area of 45,800 square metres and a capacity for 23,797 people. It was declared a historical and artistic heritage site in 1994.
The biggest event at the Las Ventas bullring is the San Isidro Fair (mid-May to mid-June), one of the events that has consolidated it as the best bullring in the world.
The Bullfighting Museum of Madrid is located in the Patio de Caballos, with a collection that offers a clear and harmonious view of the history of bullfighting in Spain. Among its exhibits are engravings of bullfighting by Goya and bullfighters' costumes from the 20th century.
The tour of Las Ventas also includes virtual reality points such as 360º recordings of the San Isidro Fair, located next to the Las Ventas gift shop, and a virtual bullfighting game located between points 3 and 4 of the tour, on the upper floor.
With virtual reality goggles and controllers, our visitors will have the opportunity to use the muleta or red cape and fight against a brave bull, inside the Las Ventas bullring, totally immersing themselves in the experience and playing the role of a real professional bullfighter.
