The Duomo and its 'Madunina' are the undisputed symbol of Milan. A true masterpiece, indeed a unique masterpiece of Gothic architecture, of the faith and tenacity of the Milanese people.
With the Duomo Pass you get free access to the cathedral, so you can admire the gigantic, yet almost intimate interior. The magnificent polychrome stained glass windows.
You will have access to the Duomo's terraces, which are probably one of the most impressive locations ever. A lift will take you up to the top of the aisles, where you can admire the sculptures and spires at close quarters. By climbing another 50 steps, you will reach the highest terrace, from where you can admire the golden statue of the Madonnina, patron saint of the city.
Few people know, however, about what lies below the cathedral: you can visit the archaeological area to rediscover the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the church of Santa Tecla. You will also have the opportunity to visit a magnificent example of an octagonal Christian baptistery and learn about life in Milan during the Roman era.
