Harlem tour with gospel choir - Sunday

Legendary neighbourhood known as the black Mecca of the world. An explosion of cultural pride, dubbed the Harlem Renaissance. It traces its roots back to when a section of African-Americans, after centuries of slavery, migrated from the rural South to the urban North of the States. The tour travels through the Upper West Side, passing the Cathedral of St John the Divine, Morningside Heights, Columbia University, Hamilton Terrace, Sugar Hill and the Apollo Theatre. You can attend the Baptist Mass with the traditional Gospel Choir.
The slaves' religious approach lives on through the vibrancy of the choirs and movements of the ceremony. Originally strictly religious, 'Gospel' has become a trendy genre and has made its mark on popular music and culture.
The tour allows you to participate in an authentic Gospel ceremony at a local church.
